The VFW Day of Service is Saturday, May 2, 2026. Volunteers will be meeting at 10:00 am in downtown Newaygo Saturday Morning.
The Steak Fry will be held Saturday the 9th and is hosted by the AMVETS.
The May post meeting is Thursday, May 14th at 5:30 pm. We encourage all members to attend the monthly meetings.
Cornhole Tournaments are being held on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. Pool leagues are Wednesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 1:30 pm. Euchre starts at 2pm on Tuesdays and 6:30pm on Fridays.
We will be honoring our fallen comrades on Memorial Day, May 25. The Honor Guard will be conducting services at eight local cemeteries, and weather permitting, a wreath drop at the Bridgeton Bridge. A final ceremony will be held at the Post at 12:00 pm sharp, followed by a light lunch. The schedule is displayed in the canteen as well as on our website, https://vfw4249.org.
Big burger night is every Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm.

Auxiliary Presidents Corner
The Auxiliary will be having their monthly fish and shrimp fry on Friday, May 2. Serving from 5-7 p.m.
We will be holding our monthly meeting Thursday, March 19 @ 7:00 pm. Please come to the meeting because we need at least 5 people to hold a meeting. Thank you.
Keep an eye on the activities calendar. Please help when you can.
We are looking forward to getting new members and working with all of you on the different activities. With the new members and officers that joined the Post, the Auxiliary would welcome any eligible family members to join.

AMVETS POST 4250 COMMANDER
I know that I have not been communicating the way I should, but I do appreciate all of you.
This month we will not have a post meeting, as my wife and I will be returning from Las Vegas. With that being said the AMVETS have the steak fry on May 9th. I will do the shopping on Friday and will be doing prep Saturday morning. Help would be greatly appreciated. We will need help during the steak fry. Anyone willing to help, please bring a hat and be at the post between 4pm and 4:30pm.
It is time to elect the AMVETS officers for 2026 -2027. We will do this on June 4th at our annual meeting. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm sharp. Please consider stepping up and taking a position. We have 8 positions to elect, if they are not filled, we will then have to decide if we want to have the AMVETS or not.
Please plan to attend the AMVETS steak fry and the post meetings. Meetings are held on the 1st Thursday of the month at 7pm.
